Went there for the first time for years since I was there like 10 years ago! Oh the staff were very friendly, very polite and helpful. The foods soo lovely! The parking is perfect and I don't have any problems. The atmosphere is just perfect! And I would recommend this place to anyone.

Waited 25 mins then went to find someone to take our order. Food arrived quickly. Scampi was fine but the chips and peas were dry and the tartare sauce had a skin on. The chicken burger was very overcooked and dry and came with what seemed to be greasy beefy tasting gravy. We have tried various meals here over several years and the only thing ever worth having was the gammon, but they have apparently stopped doing it. Staff are always polite but never ask if the food is ok. Will still drink outside in the summer but certainly wouldn’t bother eating here again.

We went out for a family meal which was a real rare luxury for us. We had a lovely warm greeting, from whom I assume was the manager. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. We love the way the place has been furnished/ decorated. All in all, we had a great time, tasty food and would definitely recommend to friends. If I had to pick one thing as an area of improvement, I would say perhaps more vegetarian options. But that would not stop us from returning this lovely pub restaurant!

Great location. Lovely, homely atmosphere and excellent service.
Only downside was that the Pedigree ran out!!! A Marstons pub without Pedigree?! Should never happen!

We came to celebrate my mums birthday and was completely impressed by all the food and service. All the staff were lovely including our server Hattie who was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to others.

Booked a table on Friday online for my partners birthday on Monday, i needed to change the time off arrival and i was told that they had a very limiited availability due to a menu change, i think they had 4 or 5 items available. No mention of this on the online booking system and it is a good job i phoned. Cancelled the table! Now looking for another place to go at short notice!!

Arrived at 19:30. Told kitchen closed. Website says kitchen open till 21:00. Not very good service.

Food very good for pub food but let down by long wait times and near zero service. After being seated we were left waiting a long time before someone came to take our order. After the food came, nobody came back to the table to check if the food was OK. After we finished the food nobody came to the table within any reasonable time to either check if we wanted deserts or the bill. The table next to us asked for the bill and it didn’t arrive for a very long time (15+ minutes just for a bill and card machine!). Another table arrived and because nobody took the order, the lady went to the bar to get drinks. Seems if you want service in this place you won’t get it and better to self serve at the bar.

Convivial atmosphere and a friendly welcome. Prompt service and good food. Whilst probably a quieter day than others, the staff were attentive throughout our visit but not overbearing and gave the impression of being able to manage more clients

Can’t praise the Navigation enough in its current state. We used to be frequent visitors up until a year ago, when we realised it had gone downhill far too much, we began to avoid. Tonight we decided to give it another go for my misses birthday. With only 2 days notice, I booked a table for 25 and had complete honesty and transparency from the new landlord that with the short notice, all they could do was try there best and I honestly feel like their best efforts were what we received. Where I left it last minute to book, we obviously didn’t have the time to pre order dishes, which naturally made the task harder for them. But they absolutely smashed it out the park! The service was unreal, considering they had us, plus what looked like a near on full pub of tables on a Saturday night, we couldn’t fault them. Looking forward to returning more often and especially the coming summer as it’s a proper little pub. Thanks again!
